The pursuits of life can sometimes be draining & wearisome! After some repeated failures, unfulfilled expectations & even some downturns, diligence may sometimes seem pointless! There are times when it can be very tempting to switch on life’s cruise control, adjust destiny expectations, & coast on in resignation mode! Many people, even ministers, have stopped fighting for greatness!
Hmmm! I know the signs;
- the language that projects false contentment!
- the quickness of surrender to destiny competition!
- the envious aggression against anyone still lugging a big dream!
- the refusal to engage ones assignment with the same intensity as before!
But I choose never to give up! I refuse to give in! I reject an existence in silent frustration! It will never be said that I stopped pursuing my dreams & purpose because life tired me out! No! I am better than that! Those made of inferior material may faint in adversity, but the grace at work in me commands a perseverance of purpose!
It was Bob Marley who wrote the line; “get up, stand up…. never give up the fight!” While I may not agree with the subject of the song, I accept the motivation to keep getting up, to keep standing & to keep on with the fight of destiny! I am in it for the win! It will never be over until I win! And, the guarantee of God is that…. I will win!
So…. what’s the strategy?
-a- I will ask for help!
“Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day….” – Acts 26:22
-b- I will ask for renewal of strength!
“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” – Isa 40:29
-c- I will ask for quickening of the dead things!
“…God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” – Rom 4:17
-d- I will ask for fruit even in old age!
“They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing” – Ps 92:12-15
Yes I will…. will you?
I pray for you, that this year will be the best year you’ve ever known & the beginning of greater days in every area of your life in Jesus name!
